Nearing the Hamlet of Lebanon the Chenango Branch RR travels across broad fields as seen in the photo to the left. Note the bridge in the picture on the left, still relatively intact from its earlier days when trains laden with passengers and cargo would cross. The picture on the right shows a cut to maintain a consistent grade as the railroad approaches Lebanon to its east.
