Picture to the left shows an area where the Chenango Branch railbed is built 80' above a small swamp on the approach to Hardscrabble Road. The middle picture shows the railbed as it traverses the built up area currently used by snowmobiles instead of trains. The photo to the right side shows the same crossing looking to the south toward Erieville as the railbed makes yet another cut into the hillside parallel to the Nelson Road on its east.
