The picture and artical from March 14, 1979 tell of the last abandonement of the Chenango Branch from East Syracuse to Fayetteville. The line now operates as just a short 'stub' out of the Dewitt rail yard. Note the Tracy's coal silos in the background of the photograph. These silos have long since been taken down.
